Emotional Freedom Technique, which is commonly referred to as “tapping”, is a powerful therapeutic technique whose roots stem from Chinese medicine, specifically acupuncture. According to Chinese medicine, our body is made up of various meridians. These meridians connect to our organ systems and act as pathways for energy to flow throughout our body. When we are afflicted by physical or emotional stressors, the energy can become “stuck” in one or more meridian point(s). By tapping on the meridian points in the face, upper torso, and fingers, clients are able to release these stuck points and reconnect to life in a more positive, balanced way.
Many clients find that tapping offers immediate relief to active stressors or overwhelming emotions. In addition, not only can tapping produce long-lasting results, it is also a great way for clients to become active participants in their own healing journey!
